I'm no Bob Costas, but...
This whole thing with Sosa. Mistake or not, he broke a rule. A pretty serious violation as far as I am concerned. By altering a bat to improve hitting would be cheating. So he gets an 8 game suspension, whether intentional or not. Now I know gambling in sports is considered a major no-no, but come on; Rose bets, not even on his own team, and he is suspended for life and refused entry to the Hall of Fame. What's wrong with this picture?
